C.J. Cron and Randal Grichuk each hit home runs as the Colorado Rockies pounded out 12 hits and rolled over the visiting Cincinnati Reds 10-1 at Denver on Sunday.

Brendan Rodgers, Connor Joe, Elehuris Montero and Yonathan Daza each added two hits for the Rockies. Kyle Freeland (1-3) pitched seven strong innings, giving up one run on four hits with four strikeouts, while throwing just 80 pitches.

Brandon Drury had two hits, including a home run, for the slumping Reds. Cincinnati has lost 19 of 21 games since winning on Opening Day and matched the 2018 team for the worst start in franchise history at 3-18.

The Rockies jumped on starter Reiver Sanmartin (0-4) and chased him before he pitched a complete inning. Joe led off the bottom of the first with an infield single, Jose Iglesias walked and both runners moved up on a balk.

Grichuk, who also finished with two hits, singled to right to drive in both runners and Cron followed with his eighth home run of the season to make it 4-0.

After Elias Diaz doubled Sanmartin got the next two batters but gave an RBI single to Rodgers. Montero followed with a single in his first major league at-bat and Joe walked to load the bases.

Buck Farmer relieved Sanmartin and hit Iglesias to bring home the sixth run of the inning.

Sanmartin allowed six runs on six hits and walked two in 2/3 of an inning. His ERA rose from 10.91 to 13.78.

Colorado added to its lead in the second. Diaz reached on Farmer’s error on a popup in front of the mound, Ryan McMahon walked and Daza singled to load the bases. Rodgers then cleared them with a double to the warning track in center field for a 9-0 advantage.

Drury got the Reds on the board when he led off the fifth inning with his fourth home run of the season.

Grichuk led off the eighth inning for Colorado with a homer, his third of the season.
