RJ Barrett scored 21 points Sunday night and the Toronto Raptors defeated the visiting Utah Jazz 107-100.

Sandro Mamukelashvili added 20 points for the Raptors, who had lost their two previous games.

Scottie Barnes added 14 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots as the Raptors started a five-game homestand. Brandon Ingram scored 19 points and Immanuel Quickley contributed 17 points.

Lauri Markkanen scored 27 points and added 11 rebounds for the Jazz, who have lost six in a row.

Jusuf Nurkic had 11 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks as Utah opened a five-game road trip. Isaiah Collier scored 19 points and Cody Williams added 10 points while Ace Bailey had four points and 11 rebounds.

The Raptors took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter. The margin increased to seven on Quickley’s 3-pointer with 8:06 to play. The Jazz persisted and crept to within five with 4:26 left. After Nurkic missed a layup, Mamukelashvili grabbed the rebound and put in a layup to give Toronto a nine-point lead with 3:05 remaining. Bailey’s dunk cut the lead to five.

Toronto led 28-23 after one quarter.

Barnes learned during the first quarter that he would be an All-Star Game reserve and was mobbed by teammates during a timeout.

The Jazz pounced on turnovers in the second quarter to take a 40-39 lead on Collier’s steal and running layup with 6:48 to play. Collier made a pair of free throws to bump the lead to six with 4:54 remaining. Markkanen completed the first-half scoring after blocking a shot and a two-handed jam on the rebound of his own layup to give Utah a 56-51 lead. The Jazz had a 30-19 advantage in rebounds in the first half.

Toronto scored the first six points of the third quarter to lead by one. The Jazz chipped away and Markkanen’s three-point play put them ahead by four with 7:45 left. The Raptors responded with an 8-0 run to lead by four with 5:08 remaining in a sloppy third quarter. Toronto led 86-84 after three quarters.

Utah’s Keyonte George (sprained left ankle) did not play.
