Celebrity Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker are returning for a mammoth 2023 global tour, according to a major announcement from Blink-182.
The band revealed in a video that a new Blink-182 tour, album, and single are all “coming” on Tuesday. The tour and CD will mark the group’s formal comeback after over ten years. The group originally formed in 1992 and continued to release popular rock/pop music well into the early 2000s.
In March 2023, Blink-182 will begin their world tour in Tijuana, Mexico. The band, which consists of Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge, will perform 32 shows starting in May before continuing on to Europe after a leg in Latin America.
The band will release a new tune, “Edging,” as a treat for fans on Friday before tickets go on sale on Monday.
The band Wallows serves as the opening act for the tour, which kicks up in Latin America in March 2023. The band Turnstile is the opening act for the North American tour, which kicks off May 4 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The tour’s final stop is Nashville, Tennessee, on July 16. After that, the band will tour Australia/New Zealand in 2024 with Rise Against on the bill and Europe in September with The Story So Far as opening acts.
The tour also includes a performance at the When We Were Young event on October 12, 2023, as well as dates at Lollapalooza Brazil, Argentina, and Chile.
The talented musicians have gone through a lot recently. Drummer Travis Barker was admitted to the hospital early this year with pancreatitis, bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus has been making progress in his recovery from cancer surgery in 2021.
