Veteran forward P.J. Tucker and the Philadelphia 76ers were finalizing a three-year, $33.2 million deal on Thursday night, according to multiple reports.

The 37-year-old Tucker has played deep into the playoffs the past two seasons. He was part of the Milwaukee Bucks’ squad that won the 2021 NBA Finals and last season played for the Miami Heat, who lost in the Eastern Conference finals to the Boston Celtics.

Also important is that Tucker is a former teammate of James Harden with the Houston Rockets. Harden is slated to re-sign with Philadelphia in the upcoming days.

Tucker averaged 7.6 points and 5.5 rebounds in 71 games (70 starts) for Miami last season. He has career averages of 7.1 points and 5.6 rebounds in 777 games (581 starts) over 11 NBA seasons.

Philadelphia also signed forward Danuel House Jr. to a two-year, $8.5 million deal. House also played in Houston with Harden and Tucker.

House, 29, played in 42 games (seven starts) among three teams last season — the Rockets, New York Knicks and Utah Jazz. He averaged 5.9 points and 2.6 rebounds.

He has career averages of 8.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 204 games (98 starts) over six seasons with five teams.
