Report: Suns’ Dillon Brooks (hand) sidelined 4-6 weeks

Phoenix Suns swingman Dillon Brooks will be sidelined four to six weeks with a broken left hand sustained this weekend, ESPN reported Monday.

Brooks left Saturday’s home game against the Orlando Magic with 4:46 left in the first quarter and did not return. Phoenix went on to beat the Magic 113-110 in double overtime.

Brooks, 30, is averaging a career-best 21.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 50 games (all starts) during his first season with Phoenix.

The short-handed Suns are also without All-Star guard Devin Booker (right hip strain) for about a week and guard Haywood Highsmith (right knee) for two to three weeks.

Phoenix entered Monday in seventh place in the Western Conference, two games behind the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

A six-week absence would see Brooks return to the court in early April. The regular season ends April 12.

Brooks has career averages of 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 542 games (515 starts) for the Memphis Grizzlies (2017-23), Houston Rockets (2023-25) and Suns.
