New York Knicks star Julius Randle’s dislocated right shoulder will keep him out of the lineup for a few weeks, The Athletic reported on Monday.
Initial reviews of the forward’s MRI exam revealed no significant damage and reduced his injury timeline, per the report.
Randle exited Saturday’s 125-109 victory over the Heat with 4:27 remaining in the fourth quarter after colliding with Miami forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. during a drive to the basket. He landed awkwardly on his right side and was in noticeable pain as he ran to the locker room with trainers.
Randle, 29, recorded 19 points and nine rebounds in 32 minutes of action.
In 46 games (all starts) this season, the two-time All-Star sports averages of 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 31.1 percent from 3-point range.
