The Philadelphia 76ers picked up the one-year, $8.4 million contract option for forward Kelly Oubre Jr. in 2025-26, ESPN reported Sunday.
Oubre, 29, averaged 15.1 points with 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 60 games (57 starts) with the 76ers last season. He has produced at least 15.0 points per game in each of the last seven seasons.
In 10 NBA seasons, Oubre has averaged 13.3 points with 4.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 655 games (311 starts) for the Washington Wizards (2015-19), Phoenix Suns (2019-20), Golden State Warriors (2020-21), Charlotte Hornets (2021-23) and 76ers.
While Oubre will be back in Philadelphia for 2025-26, guards Eric Gordon and Lonnie Walker IV reportedly won’t be.
Gordon declined his $3.4 million player option to test free agency, while the Sixers declined Walker’s $2.9 million team option, according to ESPN.
Gordon, 36, appeared in 39 games (13 starts) in his first season in Philadelphia before undergoing arthroscopic wrist surgery in February. He put up 6.8 points per game after averaging double-figure points in each of his previous 16 NBA seasons.
Walker, 26, began the season with EuroLeague club Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania before the Sixers brought in the Pennsylvania native in February. He played in just 20 games (seven starts) but put up 12.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, all of which represent career highs.
After four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs, Walker spent one apiece with the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets.
