At a contentious town hall meeting on Wednesday night in Queens, politician and activist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also known by her initials AOC, was captured on camera dancing to the chants of anti-government demonstrators that were accompanied by a drumbeat. At a town hall, protesters approached the congressman serving her second term. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of the extreme left had sponsored town hall gathering, which was interrupted by drumming demonstrators.
In a video of the demonstration in Queens, protesters can be seen yelling, “AOC has got to go,” and waving placards that criticize the 33-year-old lawmaker. Ocasio-Cortez had nothing better to do than perform while perched on the edge of a stage amid the boisterous chanting and jeering.
AOC has a history of confronting opponents, but this is the first time she has done so through dancing. She started to sway to the drums and yells. The congresswoman sipped water from a bottle and started moving her shoulders in time with the chanting, brushing aside the harsh comments.
In the upcoming election, Republican contender Tina Forte, a local business owner, will run against Ocasio-Cortez for reelection. In an attempt to make fun of the lawmaker for an earlier-in-the-year incident, another demonstrator pretended to be handcuffed.

After a while, AOC grew tired of the situation and made an effort to convince the demonstrators to cool off and have a talk.
She made an attempt to calm down and have a conversation with the irate protesters. Throughout, she remained seated on a stage and kept grinning, even when one irate woman appeared ready to explode with wrath and screamed herself to exhaustion from the audience.
A female demonstrator then started insulting the congresswoman, so the congresswoman’s reasoning was not heard. The lights in the auditorium went out, forcing Ocasio-Cortez to leave the stage while things only seemed to be getting worse for the Democrat. The congressman was accused of “voting to start a nuclear war” with Russia by hecklers during an AOC town hall last week because she supported sending military aid to Ukraine.
The outspoken legislator appears to have gained notoriety in the high-fashion community during her very limited time in Congress since she has been on the covers of Vanity Fair and GQ while wearing exquisite and pricey clothing. She walked the Met Gala red carpet in a couture gown last September, with the words “tax the rich” written in red lettering on the back. She reportedly received complimentary dinner tickets from the museum, valued at about $10,000, to the opulent event.
