Randy Moss plans to return to ESPN and his NFL role on “Sunday NFL Countdown” this season, the Athletic reported Tuesday.

Moss, 48, revealed he received treatment for cancer that included surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. The cancer was found between his pancreas and liver, Moss said last year.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver returned to the set during the Super Bowl in New Orleans and said he hoped to be back with the crew full-time soon.

“Randy’s return on Super Bowl Sunday was an emotional lift — not just for our team but for the entire football community — and knowing he will resume his full ‘Sunday NFL Countdown’ schedule, beginning in Week 1, has been the highlight of the offseason,” ESPN said in a statement to The Athletic.

ESPN veteran Mike Greenberg hosts the pregame show with analysts Moss, Rex Ryan, Tedy Bruschi and Alex Smith.
