Queen Elizabeth II attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show. She walked to her seat and watched celebrities and others perform at the show that included equestrian, military and musical talent from the U.K. and other countries. Several celebrities including Tom Cruise participated in the pageantry called A Gallop Through History. The Queen attended the event with her son Prince Edward.
The Queen carefully reached her seat in the Royal Box and watched the platinum jubilee events unfold with smiles and happiness. She was warmly welcomed with cheers from her subjects, who stood up and applauded. She wore an ice-blue sequined dress. She wrapped a pashmina shawl around her. She seemed to enjoy the performances. She wore black loafers and carried a handbag and a stick.
The platinum jubilee event was hosted by Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham, in the open-air, close to Windsor Castle. The British Network ITV had an on-site studio on the grounds of Windsor, to present the event on their channel.

Different eras from British history were presented in the event. Dame Helen Mirren who has played the role of both Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Elizabeth II on screen, played the roles, live in front of the Queen. Queen Elizabeth II was also amused when comedian. Omid Djalili cracked a joke on Guy Fawkes. Katherine Jenkins sang in front of the 5,000 plus crowd.
There were over 1,300 performers in the event. The gala also had 500 horses or more. There were other musical events including a 75-piece orchestra and children’s choir. Performances from several countries including Azerbaijan, Oman, France and many other countries around the world were also a part of the Platinum Jubilee pageant.
The Queen also had a poignant moment when 18-year old Lady Louise Windsor, her granddaughter who shares Prince Philip’s passion for the sport, drove a carriage in the event. He had represented the nation in “carriage driving” competitions in European and world championships.
Tom Cruise praised the Queen saying that she was “a woman I greatly admire.” He also shared anecdotes meeting Prince Philip, during an interview with ITV. He announced a performance by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery at the event that celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, on Sunday.
