Three people were left dead in a Publix supermarket in the Royal Palm beach area this morning. There is now investigation underway said the Palm Beach County sheriff.
This horrific shooting left a woman, a man, and a child, who was a toddler are dead. Officials do not have confirmation on who the shooter actually was but believe the shooter is also dead.
Officials also stated this was not an active shooter situation commented Terry Barbera a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting occurred inside the Publix store close to the produce section approximately a little bit after 11:30 AM this morning.
The relationship between the three victims is still not known.
The workers that were inside the store at the time of the shooting are being held for questioning according to detectives. Publix has made a statement in that they are cooperating with police in the investigation.
This is not the first time there has been a shooting at the Publix store. In another location A 22-year-old man armed with multiple guns was arrested in Atlanta when a person inside the store, not an employee heard him loading weapons in the grocery store bathroom.
Charles Russell was entering the restroom in a Publix supermarket when he heard “clicking sounds” coming from a bathroom stall, according to a police incident report. Then he saw an AR-15-style rifle leaning against the wall. Reports NPR.org.
