Elizabeth Arden is a well-known British cosmetic brand that has reportedly been used by several members of the royal family including the late Queen Elizabeth II as well as Princess Diana. The cream has an enormous fan base all over the world. However, a recent, relatively unknown use of the Eight Hour Cream by Elizabeth Arden as explained by Prince Harry in his book Spare has led to mounting sales of the cream as well as shortages due to high demand.
In his book Spare, Prince Harry made several startling and controversial revelations. He said that he had traveled to the North Pole, following which he suffered from frostbite due to the extreme cold. A friend recommended that he should use the moisturizing cream “down there” and it would treat the injured area.
He also mentioned the product in a similar way when he recollected that his mother Princess Diana used the product on her lips. He mentioned that the fragrance of the product brought back childhood memories, when his mother was alive.
Needless to say, these revelations about the myriad uses of Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour cream led to a boost in its sales. Major pharmaceutical company Boots reported that stocks of the cream were flying off its shelves.
Elizabeth Arden also replied in cheeky social media posts about the efficacy of the moisturizing cream, one of which described it as “the world’s mightiest moisturizer” and said that it could be used to solve a large number of beauty problems.
Elizabeth Arden also subtly referred to the use of its cream by Prince Harry as he had said that he used it for frost bite. The cosmetics company questioned whether people knew that the cream was “extremely helpful” during the colder months of the year.
