As Remembrance events took place this weekend, many web fans were happy to see the royal family attend the solemn and historic events. King Charles led the wreath-laying ceremony at the Cenotaph in London. Princess of Wales Kate Middleton and other royals were seen on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Queen Camilla did not attend the event as she was unwell and resting. King Charles received a standing ovation from the crowd.

The National Service of Remembrance began at 11 a.m. sharp on Sunday at the Cenotaph on Whitehall in London, with the chimes of the Big Ben at Westminster. The nation fell silent for two minutes to pay respect to the fallen. King Charles III laid the first wreath. He wore the Royal Navy uniform of the Admiral of the fleet.

As Queen Camilla could not attend due to ill health, her equerry, Major Ollie Plunket, laid a wreath on her behalf. Prince William, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne also laid wreaths, followed by Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and political leaders and veterans from the UK.

Princess Catherine, Princess of Wales, and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, watched the solemn ceremony from the Palace balcony. Princess Kate wore a black coat dress with three paper poppies and the 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards badge. She also wore a lace black hat and special diamond and pearl earrings that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Princess Kate also attended the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London, accompanied by her husband, Prince William, on Saturday, November 9. She wore a black suit. Her jewelry consisted of pearl drop earrings, a simple chain with a pearl pendant, and her engagement ring. She added a poppy brooch to her coat.

Kate Middleton is slowly returning to her royal duties after finishing her cancer treatment. As reported by CWEB, her husband, Prince William, said she was doing well when he attended the Earthshot award ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa, although he described this year as a “brutal” one.

The year 2024 has been a difficult one for the royal family as early in the year, King Charles was diagnosed with cancer, followed by Kate Middleton, also facing a cancer diagnosis. This was also followed by Princess Anne having a fall, and now Queen Camilla missed the Remembrance event as she is recovering from a chest infection.

King Charles resumed many royal duties, and Princess Kate gradually returned to royal duties. CWEB sends well wishes to the royal family.
