On Sunday, Princess Charlene accompanied her husband Prince Albert to the popular Monaco Formula One Grand Prix. They had also brought their twins–Jacque and Gabriella to the race track. Earlier, she shared a picture of their seven-year old twins on social media and said that they were focused on the win.
Princess Charlene looked elegant in a well fitting blue jump suit. The custom made outfit was designed by Terrence Bray. She completed the pant suit with glittering silver earrings. She wore lipstick, in a bold shade of pink and used smoky eye makeup. Prince Albert wore a black suit jacket, with a white shirt. He wore grey trousers.
The last time that Princess Charlene attended the Grand Prix was in 2019, when Lewis Hamilton won the F1 race. He had kissed the princess on her cheek. This year, F1 driver Charles Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari got a kiss on the cheek by the princess, before the race.
There has been a lot of speculation about the relationship between Prince Albert and Princess Charlene. French media recently said that she was getting £10 million per year, to appear in public with her husband. A similar report was also published by Belgian media.
The Royal Palace in Monaco declined to discuss specific financial arrangements for the royal family. However, it has been estimated that the royal institutions get about £40 million for running costs which is paid by the principality.
In 2021, Princess Charlene spent 10 months in South Africa. She was down with a sinus infection while on a charity trip. She was hospitalized and could not her return to Monaco. She came back in November but was soon away, once again. This time she went to Switzerland to get treated for “exhaustion.”
The 44-year Princess Charlene is back in Monaco with the 64-year old Prince Albert II and their twins and is also making public appearances with her husband and children.
Sergio Perez won the Monaco Grand Prix 2022 for Red Bull, on Sunday, May 29, in a race that took place under wet and dangerous conditions.
