President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden celebrated Christmas at the White House, in Washington D.C. The president posted a photo of himself and his wife decorating a Christmas tree on social media. This year, there have been massive storms across the nation and people have been advised to hunker down. Earlier, the Bidens attended a mass on Christmas Eve with family.
The White House announced that President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden had attended a Christmas Eve mass on Saturday. They also had a traditional Italian dinner, on the day.
On Saturday, Mr. Biden posted on Twitter, “There’s a certain stillness at the center of the Christmas story: a silent night when all the world goes quiet.” He added, “And all the clamor, everything that divides us, fades away in the stillness of a winter’s evening. I wish you that peace, this Christmas Eve.”
As the cold weather kept worsening, the president sent out another tweet, on Saturday. He said that both of them were hoping that everyone would have their families and friends around them to spend Christmas and the holidays. Fans are super excited.
The first couple also said that there was a “special place” in their hearts for anyone who had been missing a “loved one” at this time of the year. They also said, “From our family to yours, we wish you a peaceful Christmas Eve.”
Earlier on Friday, both of them visited the Children’s National Hospital, located in D.C. First Lady Biden read from a book, while the president held it up for her.
They’re away from their families to protect us. And they have the thanks of a grateful, indebted president.
This year has been fairly good to President Joe Biden. Under his administration, many major bills have been passed, although some had to be diluted. His party, the Democrats managed to retain most of their House seats as the Republicans flipped the House with few seats. The Democrats managed to retain the Senate, under his administration. This has been a good year for him.
