Pope Francis visits Cairo, Egypt with a message of “peace and mercy”.  Pope Francis has landed in Cairo, Egypt for a two days visit. The pontiff will address Sunni Muslim leaders and head of the Egyptian Coptic church. Egypt is a predominantly Muslim nation,with 90% of it population practicing Islam, and about 10% of Coptic Christians. Recall Egypt was attacked on palm Sunday with twin bombings targeting the Coptic church and palm Sunday worshippers, sparking doubtful speculation on whether the pope will visit the country or not. The pontiff said he’s in Egypt to preach peace, and he drove without armoured car passing through streets of Cairo.
