Aven Yates is being sought for abandoning a child in danger without intending to pick it up reports the Roman Forest Police Department in Texas.
A worried father informed the Roman Forest Police on November 14, 2022, that his 12-year-old daughter had been living at home alone with her 3-year-old brother since September 28, 2022, for a significant portion of that period without access to food or medical supplies.
The father, who is from another state, quickly took a flight from California, where he was employed at the time, to get there. Due to his daughter’s repeated requests for him to send food, the father learned that his child’s mother had been spotted in Mobile, Alabama, without her kids and had become aware that they were living alone. The kids were abandoned at home alone and are not registered for school.
Since they are not enrolled in school, the children were abandoned at home from September 28 until November 14.
For two counts of abandoning a child in danger without intending to return, an arrest warrant has been issued for the mother, Raven Yates.
Raven Yates, the mother, is thought to be in the Mobile, Alabama, region. Mobile Police and Roman Forest Police have been collaborating on this case. The two kids are secure with a relative in Alabama.
At the residence where the children were staying, the father met with the police. According to ABC News, the father did not reside in the house but did pay the rent, according to Roman Forest Police Chief Stephen Carlisle.
The residence’s living conditions were deemed “deplorable” by the police.
