Pizza Hut announced its entry into the burger business with a new product called Cheeseburger Melt on May 14. The pizza chain is asking web fans to ditch their favorite burger chains and try their handheld, crunchy fast food item. Pizza Hut is also sending delivery drivers to certain fast food burger chains drive-thrus, as part of its launch.
The delivery drivers have a QR code on their back windows and web fans can scan it to accept a better burger. Pizza Hut is offering them a coupon that can be redeemed for a free Cheeseburger Melt and a Pepsi till stocks last at few markets in Chicago, Illinois and Miami, Florida.
Pizza Hut says its Cheeseburger Melt has two slices of Pizza Hut’s signature Thin N’Crispy crust. This is filled with lots of toppings and cheese. It is folded over and then perfectly baked till it is melt in the mouth. It comes with a dipping sauce and a PEPSI.
Rachel Antalek, Chief Food Innovation Officer at Pizza Hut said that their innovative “Cheeseburger Melt dips perfectly into what we would argue is the world’s best burger dipping sauce,” and more.
Pizza Hut also said in its press release that there are four more recipes for its Pizza Hut Melts. They are
Pepperoni Lover’s which is served with a marinara dipping sauce.
Buffalo Chicken which is served with buffalo dipping sauce as well as ranch dipping sauce.
Chicken Bacon Parmesan which is served with ranch dipping sauce and
Meat Lover’s which is served with marinara sauce.
Pizza Hut has a new My Hut Box Offer. It includes a choice between Melts or a 2-topping Personal Pan Pizza. A side of fries or 4 boneless wings and a 20 ounces drink are also part of the offer. The offer also includes Melts dipping sauce. Web fans who love pizza and burgers may try these new innovations.
