NOTES: Power is not defending his title this week. … This is the sixth of seven events of the FedEx Cup Fall that finalizes eligibility for the 2024 season. Nos. 1-50 after the Tour Championship locked in their positions. Nos. 51-60 after the Fall series will qualify for two signature events next year: the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational. The top 125 will be exempt into full-field events and The Players Championship, while Nos. 126-150 will earn Korn Ferry Tour status and conditional status on the PGA Tour next year. … Winners during the Fall series receive world rankings points, a two-year PGA Tour exemption and invitations to next year’s Tournament of Champions, The Players Championship, the Masters and the PGA Championship. … Adam Long has hit 58 consecutive fairways, two shy of breaking the PGA Tour record set by Brian Claar in 1992. … John Daly is in the field on a sponsor exemption. … Willie Mack is in the field after earning Korn Ferry Tour status via the Second Stage. He also won the Butterfield Bermuda APGA title.
BEST BETS: Adam Scott (+1700) is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 45 as the former Masters champion attempts to improve his current FedEx Cup standing of 85th. … Akshay Bhatia (+1900) won the Barracuda Championship in July and is coming off a T10 in Los Cabos last week. The rising star also finished T17 in Bermuda last year. … Brendon Todd (+1900) tees it up for the first time since a solo sixth at the Fortinet Championship, one of three top-7 finishes in his past six events. … Thomas Detry (+2100) finished second to Power by a single shot last year while shooting 68 or better all four rounds. He has made nine consecutive cuts worldwide, including a T38 last week.

The top 60 players after this week will qualify. Notable names currently below the cut line include Solheim Cup captain Stacy Lewis (No. 83) and former major champion Lexi Thompson (88) and reigning Race to the CME Globe winner Lydia Ko (101). … Celine Boutier leads the Race to the CME Globe, followed by Lilia Vu and Ruoning Yin. All three are in this week’s field and are the top three players in the Player of the Year standings as well. … Hae Ran Ryu can clinch the Rolex Rookie of the Year award with a 12th-place finish or better this week. … The field includes 15 of 23 winners on tour this year.
