Point guard Jahmir Young announced Tuesday that he will return to Maryland for his final season of eligibility in 2023-24.
The Second Team All-Big Ten guard made the announcement on Twitter.
“I love Maryland. This is home. We have unfinished business and I can’t wait to get back to work,” Young said.

Young was Maryland’s leading scorer this season, leading the Terps to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Young, who transferred to Maryland after three seasons at Charlotte, averaged 15.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in 35 starts. Maryland lost to Alabama in the Round of 32.
Maryland lost fellow backcourt starter Hakim Hart, who last week declared for the draft — but won’t hire an agent — while also entering the transfer portal. Hart was tied for second on the team with 11.4 points per game.
