Pascal Siakam made a 3-pointer with 7.3 seconds remaining in overtime to help the Indiana Pacers defeat the Boston Celtics 135-132 on Wednesday night in Indianapolis.

Jaylen Brown missed a 3-point attempt that would have tied the game on Boston’s final possession.

Siakam had 29 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Teammate Bennedict Mathurin came off the bench to score a team-high 30 points and grab 11 rebounds as Indiana ended a three-game losing streak.

Boston was down by 24 with 3:35 left in the third quarter and trailed by 21 with 8:55 remaining but tied the game on Jayson Tatum’s 3-pointer with 14.4 seconds to play.

Tatum scored a game-high 37 points but was 5 of 18 on 3-point attempts. The Celtics received 25 points from Brown and 23 from Derrick White. Brown was 1 of 11 from long range.

The Celtics shot 40.4 percent from the field, including 33.3 percent (19 of 57) on 3-point tries. It was Boston’s first loss in five games this season.

Tyrese Haliburton had 17 points and 12 assists for Indiana, which outscored Boston 11-8 in overtime.

The Celtics trailed by eight late in the first quarter, but White made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to trim Indiana’s lead to 35-31.

Indiana’s lead in the first half peaked at 13 points, and the Pacers were ahead 67-57 at halftime. Boston shot 37.3 percent (19 of 51) from the field in the half, while Siakam was scoring 17 points.

Boston trailed 100-86 entering the fourth quarter.

The Pacers played without center Myles Turner (sprained left ankle). Turner averaged 15 points and 6.3 rebounds in Indiana’s first four games this season.

Boston’s Sam Hauser (back) returned after missing three games. He scored five points in 14 minutes.
