A federal judge in New Jersey rejected Sen. Bob Menendez’s request to allow breaks in his criminal trial in order to fulfill his Senate duties.
U.S. District Judge William Walls appeared not happy by the request in a Friday order that wanted him dismissing the motion.
“The court will not serve as concierge to any party or lawyer,” Walls wrote. “The motion — from a practical perspective — is nigh frivolous.”

A housing crisis is starting to grip thousands of other families in south-east Texas as the floodwaters ebb away, with a death toll put at 60 on Monday.

The vote in favor of industrial action is in response to low-wages, working conditions and the use of zero-hour contracts. The action — also taking place in Cambridge — is in association with the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union. With the first walk-out just after midnight, the strike has been in progress all day.

According to a report by iCulture, Apple’s upcoming flagship will be called the iPhone X instead of the previously speculated iPhone 8. Also, the website claims that the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S plus will be renamed to iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus respectively.
The report claims the final name of the bezel-less iPhone will be the iPhone X, pronounced ‘iPhone 10’, This will be the special edition model in celebration of the tenth-anniversary of the first iPhone which went on sale in 2007. Beware a fake weather reports regarding Irma. Take a look at the forecast on top which has been making the rounds on social media.
It shows the storm barreling straight for Texas, which is still recovering after #Harvey. That post has been shared more than 40,000 times.
At this time, confidence is low as to whether Irma will make an attempt at the Gulf of Mexico, or the eastern seaboard. Also remember that Irma is still about 10 days before it any possible approach to land, so time is on our side.

Construction workers working on the new Public Safety Facility in Thornton found a rare triceratops skeleton and skull Friday The find is one of three triceratops skulls found along the Front Range and has likely been laying there for at least million years.
The earliest published reports about the geology of Colorado’s front range described the horizon in which Triceratops fossil remains occurred as being at the very top, the latest, of the Cretaceous period. One old report even suggested that some were in the lowest Eocene, though I am sure that finding has been lost or revised.
