Facebook Aquila Flight – CWEB.com

Facebook first unveiled the Aquila Drone  back in 2015. The aircraft has a wingspan greater than that of a Boeing 737, weighs around a third of an electric car, and draws its power from solar panels spread across its carbon fiber wings and frame. Eventually, Facebook says it will stay aloft for 90 days at a time.

Venus Williams Accident – CWEB.com

According to the police report, Venus entered the intersection under a green light. Cross traffic caused her to stop in the middle of the intersection as she waited to make a left-hand turn. The other car entered the intersection and T-boned her car.

The victim’s wife, who was driving the other car, told police that Williams shot out at the corner of Ballenisles Drive and Northlake Boulevard.
That didn’t give her enough time to slow down, she said.

“That led to the collision that ultimately claimed the life of her husband, as her car struck the front-left corner of Williams’ SUV.

Williams tried to tell police, “I tried to make it through the traffic intersection, but that when traffic slowed down I was left stranded in the middle of the road. However, the police report shows Williams caused the fatal accident though her fault, and she received a summons for it.

Minnesota Online Stunt – CWEB.com

According to authorities in Norman County, Minnesota, a 19-year-old woman killed her boyfriend by shooting a book he was holding over his chest during YouTube video stunt gone wrong.

A guy and his girlfriend in Minnesota thought that they would perform online pranks to go viral and become famous.

2 “adults”, decided to do a stunt where the guy would hold up a book to his chest, and the girl would shoot him close range in the expectation of the said book stopping the bullet.

Authorities say 22-year-old Mr Ruiz died from a single gunshot wound to the chest.

Their three-year-old daughter was reportedly at the scene when the shot was fired at about 6:30 p.m. local on Monday.

Ms Perez told deputies that the stunt had been Ruiz’s idea, and that he had to convince her to do it.

Monalisa Perez has been charged with second-degree manslaughter

The book was supposed to stop the bullet in order to create a viral video.

The victim’s aunt, Claudia Ruiz, tells WDAY-TV that the couple played pranks and put them on YouTube.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

Ruiz’s aunt said she carried out the stunt as she wanted to increase her online profile by gaining more followers on social media

Adele Tour Note – CWEB.com

Adele to hang up the touring heels. 😩💔

The note written by Adele reads, ‘So this is it after 15 months on the road and 18 months of 25 we are at the end. We have taken this tour across UK + Ireland, throughout Europe, all over America and I finally got to go to Australia and New Zealand too.’

‘Touring is a peculiar thing, it doesn’t suit me particularly well. I’m a real homebody and I get so much joy in the small things. Plus I’m dramatic and have a terrible history of touring. Until now that is! I’ve done 119 shows and these last 4 will take me up to 123, it has been hard out an absolute thrill and pleasure to have done.’

‘I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artist have had on me live. And I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home. Thank you for coming, for all of your ridiculous love and kindness. I will remember all of this for the rest of my life. Love you. Goodnight for now’

Musk Godot Tunnel – CWEB.com

Today  SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk just tweeted that his tunnel-carving operation, The Boring Company, just completed cutting out its first segment with its Beckett-homaging drill, Godot. While the plan is to build an entire subterranean network underneath the streets of Los Angeles, it’s unclear where this first tunnel portion was cut and how far it went.

Elon Musk is keeping us on our toes.  Elon Musk made history  by completely changing the game of space travel.  This accomplishment is such a major step towards affordable commercial space programs and even consumer space programs.

Good job and Congratulations Elon Musk. This is huge!!

Canada Court Google – CWEB.com

Canada’s top court upholds a sweeping injunction against Google’s ability to display commercial content.  The court found in favor of Equustek, rejecting Google’s argument that the right to freedom of expression should have prevented the order from being issued.

Now Canada is requiring that Google de-index infringing sites–what Google swore would “break the Internet” and “stifle innovation” in the SOPA debates.

California Right To Die Report – CWEB.com

111 terminally ill patients died in peace during the last six months thanks to this humane Death with Dignity law. But peace rippled out to the suffering families and friends, so we don’t know the number of people that your advocacy ultimately brought peace to.

An awful tragedy which is befalling on our nation. We must uphold the protections of human life. We must not allow the culture of death to continue. ( The Right to Die organization was formally called the Euthanasia Society of America, it has no determination of the precious life that God has given to us, and very often doctors have been wrong.) Our society demands that we care for the sick, disabled, the dying not to kill or allow them to kill themselves.
