Emmanuel Macron final polls – CWEB.com
Today French centrist Emmanuel Macron is set to top the voting in the first round of France’s presidential election ahead of far-right leader Marine Le Pen, and their leads over conservative Francois Fillon and leftist Jean-Luc Melenchon have widened, a poll showed on Monday.
“Not long ago, everyone said it was impossible for Emmanuel Macron to get this far but we proved them wrong, and now we’re so close to the finish,” the canvasser urged one voter in his 40s who was undecided between voting Macron or returning to his “natural party” and choosing Fillon on the right. “I’m still not sure what Emmanuel Macron really stands for,” the voter said.
Newfoundland labrador iceberg – CWEB.com
“Iceberg Alley” — so called because from spring to September, icebergs regularly break off in the Arctic and float down past the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Over 600 have already floated into the North Atlantic this year, compared to a total of 687 over the whole season. Experts believe that this year’s bumper crop is down to strong counter-clockwise winds, as well as global warming.

General Motors Auto plant Venezuela – CWEB.com
Venezuelan authorities had illegally seized its plant GM in the industrial hub of Valencia and vowed to “take all legal actions” to defend its rights. Venezuela shows one of the major pitfalls for companies moving operations overseas, the instability of many foreign governments. While the US government may be subject to mood swings every four years or so, it still remains a symbol of stability compared to other governments. Look around the world at the number of governments that have been toppled and restructured over the last decade.
American manufacturing, in a destabilized world, must return their facilities to US shores or face terrible losses overseas.

Nicolás Maduro Venezuelans march – CWEB.com
5 dead, Venezuelans brace themselves for the fight of their lives as they march for freedom and democracy. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Venezuela as they regain their voices in the face of an oppressive dictator. Maduro’s socialist dictatorship government is trying to block the most prominent opposition figure, Henrique Capriles, from running for office for 15 years. The devastating economic situation looks like it’s boiling over. The Organization of American States is taking notice and pressuring Maduro for elections and economic reforms. So far he’s proven immune to reason or compromise. Hopefully the protests don’t get violent. They are throwing tear gas from the helicopters we are drowned and the dogs too.
They use all brutal force against the demonstration. The tanks are taking people ahead.

Facebook augmented reality – CWEB.com
A letter from Mark :
Today at our F8 developer conference, we’re making the camera the first augmented reality platform.
We all know where we want augmented reality to get: glasses or eventually contact lenses that look and feel normal, and let you overlay all kinds of information and digital content on the real world. But in the last couple of years, we’ve started to see primitive examples of AR on phones in the camera.
For those of you who have watched us roll out cameras across all our apps and have asked what we’re doing, that was act one. Now this is act two: giving developers the power to build all kinds of AR tools into the first augmented reality platform, the camera.
We’re all about extending the physical world online. When you become friends with someone or become part of a community on Facebook, your real relationships and physical communities become stronger. AR is going to help us mix the digital and the physical in new ways, and make our physical lives better. That’s why it’s so important, and this is just the beginning.

Aaron Hernandez death – CWEB.com
Today former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez commits suicide in prison, hanging himself with a sheet attached to his cell window. His death comes just days after he was found not guilty in a double murder, but he was already serving a life sentence in another case.
Living with the pain of his choices ultimately may have led him to commit suicide. God give his family and loved ones peace.
Few people ever see $40 million, much less right out of the gate of youth as Aaron did. I feel bad that he couldn’t shake his past, from what I saw of him on the tube, he seemed to be quite affable, but we all seem to live double personas and his had a rough start from the beginning.
RIP Aaron.
