Chicago sexual assault – CWEB.com
Today Chicago Police say they have arrested one juvenile in connection with a sexual assault that was broadcast on Facebook Live.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement late Saturday that the suspect faces felony charges of aggravated criminal sexual assault, manufacturing of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography. He says more arrests are expected.
Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson has scheduled a news conference Sunday morning to provide additional details.
The alleged incident occurred in mid-March. Guglielmi has said police were not aware of the attack until the girl’s mother approached Johnson as he was leaving a police station on the city’s West Side and showed him the video.
Guglielmi said Johnson was “visibly upset” after he watched.

God Bless them… At least 112 people were killed in a landslide caused by floodwaters in Colombia, said President Juan Manuel Santos.

There have been some heartbreaking photos coming out of Mocoa, in southern Colombia today – the scene of disastrous flooding and mudslides, with more than 150 confirmed dead and hundreds missing. 220 are missing so far, 202 injured and 300 families displaced. Twenty-five houses were destroyed in mudslide.

Atlanta interstate 85 fire arrest – CWEB.com
Three people have been charged in connection to a Thursday fire that resulted in the collapse of an elevated span of Interstate 85, a major city thoroughfare that connects five states. Basil Eleby is charged with first degree arson and first degree criminal damage to property. Eleby and two others all believed by investigators to be homeless were arrested in connection with Thursday evening’s fire under Interstate 85.

Captain Don Wise with the Niles Fire Department says a malfunction involving the pool heater here at the Quality Inn caused the deadly carbon monoxide leak.
Wise says a total of 12 people are in the hospital.
8 of them are children.
Wise says when first responders first arrived on scene this morning, there were six kids lying unresponsive by the pool. No adults were found nearby.

Japan kills 333 whales antarctic hunt – CWEB.com
Japan’s whaling fleet has returned from its Antarctic hunt announcing the killing of 333 minke whales in the name of science.
There is no humane way to kill a whale at sea, and no scientific justification behind whaling. Any research for whale management and conservation can be done without bloodshed.
Why can’t people leave the animals alone. Whales, Dolphins, dogs, seals, tigers, lions, rhinos etc.. Every single animal is going to be extinct, half of them already are. We are hurting this Earth terribly and I can’t sit here and watch it happen. I sign so many petitions everyday to make a difference are you?
