Justin Bieber’s Denver concert goes dark, pop star addresses wife Hailey’s health woes

On Wednesday, during a concert in Denver, Justin Bieber publicly addressed the problems his wife Hailey Bieber had faced about a week ago. Due to technical glitches the concert saw a break in the show as most of the stage and the huge video screens were plunged to darkness. It resumed with less lights and sound effects.

After waiting for years for Justin to perform since his last show in 2016, fans from Colorado were super excited and screamed with joy at he took center stage at about 8.30 p.m. The start was fantastic as he sang the following numbers
Somebody
Hold On
Deserve You.
Where Are U Now
What Do You Mean.

However, as he was ending Yummy his microphone went dead. Then the large video boards on the stage lost power. Fans kept the momentum going by slow clapping, doing the wave and chanting “Bieber, Bieber…”

The show resumed after 25 minutes without lasers, video screens and a part of the lights on the stage.
He sang “Changes,” “Love Yourself” and “Off My Face.” Then he performed “Sorry” and “Love You Different.” He also sang his 2010 hit “Baby” which sent fans into a frenzy.

The Canadian born singer has been fairly quiet about wife Hailey Bieber’s recent health scare. The 28-year pop sensation spoke of Hailey’s health issues after the lights went dark. He told his fans that “life randomly throws you curve balls’ and that it was not possible to control them except to a certain extent just like the power that was cut off at the concert at Denver.

He added that he thought that most of them were aware of the news about his wife’s health condition. He said that Hailey was “ok, but it’s been really scary.” He also said that he knew for a fact that “god has her in the palms of his hand.”

Justin Bieber returned to Denver, Colorado after six years. However, technical glitches resulted in a 25-minute break in his “Justice Tour.” His Las Vegas show was postponed due to Justin and others testing positive for COVID. This was the ninth show of the tour and took place at the Bail Arena in Denver, Colorado.

Chris Cuomo demands $125 million from CNN as compensation for ‘Smear Campaign’

0

In an arbitration filing, on Wednesday, former CNN anchor and host Chris Cuomo has asked for $125 million as damages after he was terminated from the network on December 4, 2021. He has also aimed his ire against certain talent in the network saying that they had also committed ethical violations but had not be censured.

Deadline, who was the first to report the news, said that the arbitration demand filed by Cuomo’s lawyers said that he had “been damaged in countless ways” due to Turner unceremoniously firing him. It mentioned that his “journalistic integrity” had been “unjustifiably smeared.”

The filing also noted that it would be difficult if not impossible for Cuomo to get another job similar to the one he was fired from at the network. He asked for $125 million in damages. This sum includes his remaining salary under the agreement signed between him and the company as well future wages lost as his reputation was allegedly damaged by CNN.

With this filing, the former host of Cuomo Prime Time seems to be leaning towards a trial if the arbitration fails. If it does, many people’s actions which were allegedly overlooked as they did not face consequences during Jeff Zucker’s reign at CNN, will come out in the open, as Cuomo has already mentioned the lapses, which Zaslav has allegedly tried to minimize after asking Jeff Zucker to step down.

Some of Cuomo’s erstwhile colleagues who allegedly did not face consequences of violations under the leadership of Jeff Zucker and Allison Gollust include the following
Don Lemon
Jake Tapper
Jeffrey Toobin
Brian Stelter.

When asked for comment by multiple outlets, neither CNN nor did its talent responded. Now, all eyes are on the response of CNN to the paperwork filed by Cuomo and his team. Their response will indicate whether there is a dispute that can be arbitrated or whether the filing would reach the courts.

Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney who got married twice on Vanderpump Rules split up

0

On Tuesday, Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz separately announced on social media that they are breaking up. The couple, who are the stars of Vanderpump Rules (VPR), have been together for more than ten years and got married twice on the show in August 2016 and in July 2019.

Katie, 35 said that she had never thought that she would make an announcement that she and Tom were ending their marriage. She said that she felt that it was important to share the news so she posted it on Instagram. She mentioned that was no “resentment or animosity” and nobody needed to choose sides.

Tom, 39, confirmed the breakdown of their marriage in a post where he questioned how he could “capture 12 years of love” in a (expletive) “canned Instagram caption. He said that he was not ready to use the “D” word as it was too painful but also mentioned that he would “be ok.”

There was recent speculation, earlier in the week, as fans noticed that Katie was not wearing her wedding ring in photos. The couple have now confirmed their breakup and both of them have posted kind and loving words of “love,” “admiration” and “support” for each other.

Katie and Tom first got married in August 2016. The ceremony took place during the fifth season of Vanderpump Rules. It was officiated by Lisa Vanderpump, their TV boss. However, the paperwork was not filed. So, they never received a marriage certificate.

In 2019, they applied for a marriage license in Las Vegas. It was E! News who first reported the story. Tom and Katie legally became husband and wife on July 25, after their second wedding ceremony. It was a star studded celebration and included the following former and current stars of VPR:
Stassi Schroeder
Brittany Cartwright
Tom Sandoval
Ariana Madix
Lala Kent
Jax Taylor.

Zuckerberg confirms ‘bringing NFTs to Instagram’ at SXSW

0

On Tuesday, Mark Zuckerberg founder of Meta said that one of its popular social media companies–Instagram would soon allow non fungible tokens (NFTs) on its site. He was speaking at the SXSW in Austin, Texas when he also mentioned that they could possibly become a part of his pet project, the metaverse, as well.

Zuckerberg said that the company was “working on bringing NFTs to Instagram in the near term.” He was speaking with Daymond John of Shark Tank. Although there weren’t many details provided by him, there were suggestions that existing NFTs would become a part of the social media app and there could be a possibility of minting new ones.

Zuckerberg confirmed what had earlier been mentioned by Adam Mosseri, who leads Instagram. In the beginning of the year, there was an Instagram story where Mosseri said that they were “actively exploring” the use of NFTs. He mentioned that they could play with as well as help NFT creators.

Zuckerberg also spoke of the metaverse saying that the clothing an avatar wears in this virtual world could be minted as an NFT. He said that it could be taken to different places after technical issues would be worked on, in the near future; to make it a seamless experience. The metaverse or Web 3 is Mark Zuckerberg’s vision of the future of the internet as he considers it to be immersive technology. He changed the name of the company he founded from Facebook to Meta keeping this vision in mind.

Zuckerberg also mentioned that most of his shopping has been done through Instagram, Facebook Shops or ads. He used to wear the same grey shirt for years and said in 2014 he wanted to clear his life of making few decisions so that he could concentrate on “how to best serve this community.” He had also confirmed that he had “multiple same shirts.”

The Meta founder and CEO also briefly spoke about the war in Ukraine. This was the first time he has made public comments on the invasion of the country by Russia. He called it a “massively destabilizing world event.” It must be noted that Facebook, Microsoft, Google and other tech companies have been doing their bit by putting constraints on false propaganda and limiting fake news.

Kim Kardashian confirms Pete Davidson branded her name on his chest

Kim Kardashian appears on the Ellen DeGeneres show, on Wednesday. In a clip the Keeping Up With the Kardashians (KUWTK) alum talks about the ink her boyfriend Pete Davidson has on his chest and confirms that he has branded him name on her chest. Fans had spotted her name across his chest, when a photo was released of him in bed and eagle eyed fans saw the Kim tattoo.

In the interview with DeGeneres, Kim actually says that Pete got her name branded on his chest, using a hot iron. It was his choice to make it permanent. She said that it was like a “scar” and that it could not be removed like a regular tattoo.

Kim also noted that Pete had dedicated other tributes to her in his body. She revealed that two more cute tattoos were related to her, one of which read, “My girl is a lawyer.”

Pete Davidson has a lot of tattoos in his body. He uses words or images to showcase people or events that matter to him. So, paying tribute to Kim is to be expected, as both the comedian and the reality star are happy with each other. A few days ago, they made their relationship Instagram official. Kim called his tattoos cute and said that she was happy with him.

The couple clicked during Kim’s appearance late last year on Saturday Night Live (SNL) where she met the comedian who is a regular fixture on the show. She was going through a painful divorce from rapper Kanye West, with whom she has four children.

Kanye West has been attacking Pete Davidson and his friends through memes, violent cartoon videos, rude and childish lyrics and a weird nickname “Skete,” which the SNL comedian dismissed as ridiculous. However, recently the Donda 2 star came after Km and criticized her parenting style.

Pete responded to the criticism against his girlfriend Kim saying that she was a great mom. He asked Kanye to meet him privately, so that they could have a “one-to-one” and “man-to-man” conversation. Kanye proposed that their meeting should occur at a public place at the staging of his Sunday Service but Pete refused saying that he was not meeting him for “pictures and press.” Although Kim has been declared legally “single” by a judge in Los Angeles, Kanye continues to attack his ex and her boyfriend.

Corporate Fraud-Trial Begins for Former Theranos COO Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani

0

Opening arguments begin   today in the  San Jose, California courtroom   for Ramesh “Sunny” Balwani” where Holmes stood trial and was convicted.

Elizabeth Holmes, the chief executive officer of Theranos, was convicted of four counts of federal fraud. A court filing proposed terms of sentencing. The filing said that she would be placed under a $500,000 bond, which would be secured by property. She will be sentenced on September 12, according to a report by CNBC.

The Silicon Valley based startup has wiped out $945 million that was invested by wealthy individuals. Records reveal that Elizabeth Holmes stayed in an expensive apartment as the company kept losing money. The apartment, with a fantastic view which overlooked the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, cost $5,395 a month.

The proposed stipulation that was filed by both by the government as well as by the attorneys for Elizabeth Holmes stated that the parties had agreed that the sentencing hearing would take place following Labor Day this year. They considered this appropriate as there were “ongoing proceedings in a related matter.”

Her lover and  business partner “Sunny” Balwani   in their company Theranos, was indicted with the same charges as Holmes. Holmes is set to hear her fate if she will spend 20 plus years in prison in September.

Balwani has at least a dozen federal wire fraud and conspiracy charges accusing him that he also knowingly  misrepresented facts about what Theranos’ blood testing could do. The case involves how Holmes and Balwani lied to  investors, doctors, and  the patients for material gain. Balwani could go to prison for 20 years and be ordered to pay a fine of $250,000 plus restitution on every  count of wire fraud and   for each conspiracy count. He pleads not guilty.

No cameras are allowed in the courtroom, therefore it will not be televised, The trial will last about three months.

Elon Musk Changes his Twitter Name to ‘Elona’ in challenge to Vladimir Putin

0

Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov has scornfully referred to Tesla CEO Elon Musk as ‘Elona.’

The world’s richest man has taken on a Russian warlord who has dubbed him “Elona” just days after he challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to a fight over the fate of Ukraine. In response to Putin’s challenge, Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov sent a message to Tesla CEO over Telegram, saying that Elona should not compare his strength against Putin and that his friend Putin would hammer him if they ever came to face each other in a fight, according to multiple outlets.

The Chechnya’s warlord leader Kadyrov hit out at Musk with the slurs on messaging service Telegram a day after the SpaceX founder challenged the Russian president to a fight. Kadyrov wrote in a homophobic diatribe that Elon would need to pump up his muscles so that the (effeminate) Elona could become the brute Elon needed to become.

He also said that the Tesla and SpaceX creator should get prepared for the confrontation with Putin, advising Musk to take training at Chechen Republic’s three centers: the Akhmat Fight Club, Russian Special Forces University, and the Chechen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.

A nonplussed Musk shared images of Kadyrov’s telegram and responded with sarcasm in another tweet, politely declining Kadyrov’s offer to be trained in Russia. He changed his name on Twitter and signed as Elona.

Kadyrov, whose country is renowned for torturing and executing homosexual individuals, took over as President of the Chechen Republic after his father, who held the position earlier, was slain. Human Rights Watch has charged him with crimes against humanity, including kidnappings, torture, assassinations, and LGBT persecution. He has adamantly opposed the charges.

Elon Musk has been outspoken about his support for Ukraine, sending Starlink terminals to the war-torn country to keep internet services operational. Starlink is a space-based technology that privately-owned SpaceX has been developing in order to deliver internet connectivity to remote parts of the globe.

Musk, in a post on his official Twitter account on Monday, threw a challenge at Putin for one-to-one combat. He used Russian alphabets to write Putin’s name. “Ukraine is at stake,” he added. The CEO then asked in Russian, whether he agreed to this fight and tagged the Kremlin’s official Twitter account in the same thread.

Will Musk’s tweets get him into trouble as they have in the past? In 2018, he was forced to resign as Tesla’s chairman, create an independent board, and pay a $40 million fine to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for promising to take the electric vehicle company private at a premium share price. He is still Tesla’s president and CEO.

Instagram Suspends Kanye West For 24 Hours

Kanye West has been suspended from Instagram for 24 hours  for violating the platform’s harassment policy. A representative for Meta reportedly told the gossip outlet that Kanye West will not be able to post anything, comment on any posts or send direct messages, among other available actions on the platform for 24 hours.

“Kim is literally the best mother I’ve ever met,” Davidson wrote. “What she does for those kids is amazing and you are so f—ing lucky that she’s your kids mom. I’ve decided I’m not gonna let you treat us this way anymore and I’m done being quiet.”

In addition to his  ongoing online feud  with Pete Davidson, Ye on Wednesday lashed out at  The Daily Show  host Trevor Noah with a racial slur. Ye’s Instagram  posted  a screenshot of a Google search for Noah with the caption, “All in together now … Koon baya my lord koon baya Koon baya my lord Koon baya Oooo lord Koon baya” after Noah did a segment on his divorce with Kim Kardashian.

The Donda rapper said that he was happy that Pete was “out of the hospital and rehab.” However, the comedian remained unfazed and said “same here” and spoke of the help that is extended by such places and advised Kanye to “try it.”

Pete Davidson decided to resolve the situation and told Kanye that he was in Los Angeles for the day and they could talk and he felt sad that the rapper was ruining his legacy.

Kanye asked to meet at a public place–the staging of his Sunday Service but Pete proposed that meeting should take place at the room he was staying in, at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He felt that they should have a private “one on one” and “man to man” conversation.
Kanye insisted that the meeting should take place at the Sunday Service which Pete refused saying that their meeting should not be “public” and that he was not there “for pictures and press.”

Pete Davidson empathized with the rapper and shared his own mental health struggles and said that Kanye would be “happy and at peace” if he got a little help. He also said that he had prevented SNL comedians from making fun of Kanye and had his back. But he added that if Kanye continued to lash out at him, he would “stop being nice.”

Britney Spears Suddenly Deletes Instagram

Britney Spears had over 40 million followers on the social media platform with over 2,000 pictures. Her other social media pages including Twitter and Facebook are active.

Celebrity singer and dancer Britney Spears suddenly deleted her Instagram. Her fans are completely confused. Britney Spears gained 56 million follower on the social media platform. On January 15th she spoke against her sister regarding her conservatorship and not gaining any support. Since that time we have seen no posts from Britney on her Instagram account.

Aside from her dancing videos posted on Instagram in her bikini, pictures of her new husband, and her vacations, Britney also posted her thoughts about her conservatorship and documented everything about how she felt with the   fight for her own freedom.

This isn’t the first time she broke away from  social media. At a time when she had  39 million followers, she deleted  her account. But she came back on after that short period in September.

Her Twitter account still remains active @britneyspears.

Why are Biden’s approval ratings skyrocketing

0

Photo: @potus Twitter Official

Americans are standing in droves beside President Joe Biden after the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. This is the second time in American history that a president’s rating has increased substantially after a conflict, reminiscent of former president George W. Bush’s sky high support of 90 percent after 9/11.

According to Gallup news, support for president George W. Bush increased tremendously after a nationwide address after 9/11. His address to the nation got him huge public support as he spoke of “a war against terrorism.” He also got the highest ever presidential rating when compared with presidents more than 60 years ago.

The CNN/USAToday/Gallup poll conducted on September 21-22 in 2011 reported a 90 percent approval rate for the then president George W. Bush. Americans across the nation approved of the way Bush had been handling the crisis as the president of the nation.

George W. Bush’s approval ratings by the people of the nation eclipsed that of his father George Bush Sr. as well as that of the 87 percent approval received by President Harry S. Truman. The report also said that Bush’s record address to the nation was seen live by almost three-fourths of all Americans and 14 percent watched excerpts of his speech or its rebroadcast.

After Russia invaded Ukraine, Marist College/NPR/PBS NewsHour polled president Joe Biden’s popularity. According to the latest Marist poll 52 percent of American polled approved of the way in which the president handled the situation in Ukraine. This is 34 percent up from last week.

The poll also reported that a whooping number of Americans–83 percent approved of Biden and allies imposing economic sanctions on Russia. Although there have been a rise in gas prices, 69 percent of Americans, of whom 58 percent identified as Republican said that they were supportive of the economic sanctions against Russia, even if energy prices increased, as a result of the sanctions.

President Biden saw an increase in overall job approval ratings by 8 percent. He also saw an upswing in his approval rating for his handling of the coronavirus as 55 percent approved of how it has been handled by him.
