Rihanna and boyfriend A$AP Rocky had escaped to Barbados for some rest and relaxation as rumors of him cheating with mutual friend Amina Muaddi had surfaced last week. However, when they returned home to Los Angeles, A$AP Rocky was arrested at LAX. The singer and billionaire entrepreneur was forced to cancel her baby shower, that was supposed to be held on Wednesday.

Earlier on Tuesday, the couple had posted sweet pictures with a lot of PDA. Rihanna was also seen enjoying a fresh coconut treat at a local stand in Barbados that was selling the fruit. Both of them were enjoying the fresh fruit, in different pictures. They also looked cozy and happy in the pictures.

Rihanna wore a small bikini top and a mini skirt. Her huge baby bump could be seen very clearly in the pictures. Rihanna has dressed fashionably throughout her pregnancy. The 34-year old singer is expecting her first child with the 33-year old rapper.

On Wednesday morning, A$AP Rocky was arrested, when he arrived at the Los Angeles airport, in a private plane. NBC News reported that he was arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in November 2021, in Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). The outlet said that multiple sources said that Rihanna was with him, when he was arrested.

Late Wednesday, the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Athelaston Mayers, posted $550,000 as bail. He allegedly shot an acquaintance after an argument, last year. He was arrested on the charge–assault with a deadly weapon.

The LAPD issued a statement that their officers had “worked diligently” as they investigated the November 2021 shooting. The victim had minor injuries and the officers had identified “the suspect(s) involved.”

Despite, her personal problems, Rihanna maintained her professionalism. She promoted a new Fenty Beauty product, a $32 Cookies n Clean whipped clay detox face mask, on Instagram, on Friday.

Kanye raps on Pusha T’s new album on ‘family’ says his children are ‘in danger’

Kanye West appears on two tracks on Pusha-T’s new album “It’s Almost Dry.” He mentions his family in both his tracks and his lyrics indicate that he thinks his family is “in danger.” He raps in two different tracks “Dreamin Of The Past” and “Rock N Roll”, on the same theme.

In Dreamin Of The Past” some of the lyrics are as follows:
“Born in the manger, the son of a stranger
When Daddy’s not home, the family’s in danger”
(And my heart was beatin’ fast).”

In another track, called “Rock N Roll” Ye raps,
“Finally tired of comin’ and goin’, make up your mind
I ain’t come to pick up the kids to pick a fight.”

Kid Cudi make it crystal clear that he was no longer close to Kanye, although he appeared with him in the “Rock N Roll” song. He said that he did the song with Kanye when he was “still cool” with him. He recently said he was “not cool [with] that man” and added “He’s not my friend” in the same tweet. He also mentioned that it was it was the “last song” he had with Ye.

Kid Cudi and Pete Davidson are friends. Kanye has attacked Pete after he became Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend. The Saturday Night Live comedian has been dissed several times by Kanye. He gave Pete a weird moniker called Skete and featured him in memes that were in bad taste.

Kanye also featured Pete as a cartoon figure (claymation) in his track “Eazy” but what was disturbing was the amount of violence directed at the figure which included getting slapped, being the recipient of rude lyrics and that was not all. The cartoon figure was trussed up, buried and rose seeds were planted on his head and the roses were cut. Kanye called it “artistic” but this was disputed by almost everyone else.

Kanye also dissed Kim several times on social media, even after she got a divorce and the judge allowed her to get “single” status, although they have to resolve custody and financial issues. She dropped West from her name but Kanye West doesn’t seem to stop dropping tracks against her and her new, happy life.

Tesla CEO Musk forms three ‘X Holdings’ companies in another attempt to buy Twitter

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, recently attempted a hostile bid for Twitter Inc., which was rejected by the social media platform’s board. However, Musk is still pursuing a takeover and has started on a path to do so by forming three holding companies with three variations of the name “X Holdings.”

Records filed in Delaware show that Elon Musk has formed three companies using “X Holdings” in various ways. He and his investing partners are reportedly putting money in one of the entities. According to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the funds in this entity will be used to purchase Twitter shares in a tender offer. A subsidiary is expected to merge with Twitter.

As of now, it is not known whether Musk intends to affiliate his other companies such as Tesla Inc., and SpaceX with the holding company. He has been considering it from 2012. In 2020, he had said that “X” was a good name for a parent company. Incidentally he owns the domain X. It was the name he used to start an online payments company, which was later merged with PayPal.

Last week, during a discussion with TED’s Chris Anderson, Musk mentioned that creating such a parent company would be “tricky.” He added that Tesla is a public traded company. He also noted that each of the four companies: Tesla, SpaceX, Boring Co. and Neuralink had different investor bases. He said that it was not easy to “combine these things.”

Other tech companies have restructured themselves and have formed new holding companies. One of the earliest to do so was Google, in 2015 and Aplhabet Inc. is its parent company. Early this year Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg gave his holding company a new name called Meta. It is the parent organization of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus and a few other subsidiaries.

In honor of Earth Day, the worldwide climate awareness holiday on April 22, Meta has announced new fundraising tools and educational efforts, including expanded Instagram Reels possibilities for more than 30 nations to participate in digital fundraising. It has also mentioned tackling climate misinformation, restoring water, and a few other features related to Earth Day.

In Instagram’s short-form video platform Reels, users can now fundraise directly. When using the Reels fundraising feature on Instagram, users can choose from over a million registered organizations, and all proceeds go directly to the nonprofit of their choice. This feature, called the ‘Fundraise on Instagram Reels’, has been announced by the company with the goal to allow consumers to check out the initiative and support action against climate change.

Meta also informed that they cover the donation processing fees, ensuring that all funds raised through Instagram fundraisers go straight to the charity. In addition, the company has introduced the Sustainability Media Academy, which is a joint venture with EB Impact to assist Asian journalists in developing sustainability skills.

Messenger commemorates the Earth Day celebrations event by releasing visually intriguing camera stickers made by Aran Quinn, a well-known digital artist. On the Messenger Kids app, users can find some interesting frames with Earth Day themes, as well as AR masks that encourage kids to interact and engage more. Meta is also adding in Word Effects via Earth themes, as well as some unique 3D stickers with ecologically friendly terms like climate and wildlife incorporated in them.

In conjunction with worldwide organizations such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Meta also updated Facebook’s Climate Science Center, a project focused on educating people about the climate problem and dispelling climate myths. The “Toxic” singer also said that she was like a “devil” in her first two pregnancies and this time around she thought that “food” would make her nice and that she would not do cardio.

Biden Announces $800M Additional Military Aid to Ukraine

President Biden announced that the US will give an additional $800 million in military help to Ukraine, saying that Washington would “speak softly and carry a huge Javelin” — a play on Teddy Roosevelt’s famous motto to refer to Kyiv’s forces’ powerful anti-tank weapons.

The package will comprise 72 155-millimeter Howitzers, 72 vehicles to carry the Howitzers, and 144,000 artillery rounds, according to the Pentagon. More than 121 tactical drones, as well as field equipment and spare parts, will be shipped to Ukraine.

The announcement comes after an $800 million aid package was announced last week, which includes Mi-17 helicopters intended for the Afghan army.

According to Biden, the current wave of supplies would help the Ukrainian military fight off a new Russian attack in the country’s east.

Biden also stated that the announced assistance will use up the majority of the remaining funds available for this purpose. He said he will ask Congress for further financing next week and stated that the sum is under consideration.

The president had a private meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the White House moments before his statements. They reportedly discussed US assistance in defending Ukraine’s eastern territories after Russian forces withdrew from areas around Kyiv.

The leader also promised a new prohibition on Russian ships docking in the United States, as well as a new refugee campaign for Ukrainians so that they do not have to cross America’s southern border.

Some US troops are getting ready to teach Ukrainian forces how to handle howitzer artillery systems. The training, however, has yet to commence, according to Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby.

CNN+ streaming service shuttered: Trump calls it ‘empty desert’

The knives are out and all those who had a grouse against CNN or its newer avatar CNN+ can virtually or verbally stab the news network after the massive failure of its streaming operation as it pulled down shutters on April 21, 2022, less than a month before it began operations. Former president Donald Trump has criticized the network in the past and is now mocking it. The streaming service had only 150,000 subscribers before it closed down.

In a statement that was issued on Thursday, Trump sarcastically congratulated CNN+ for folding up as it didn’t have ratings or viewers. He described it as an “empty desert” although they had spent “hundreds of millions of dollars.”

He also took a potshot at Chris Wallace, whom he described as “low-rated.” He added that Chris
“lacked the talent and whatever else is necessary to be a star” though he tried hard to be like his father Mike.

He ended his statement saying that they no longer had to be bothered with one more piece of “CNN and Fake News.”

Trump has had problems with various reporters and personalities who work with the cable news network. This acrimonious relationship started even before he became the president. He had testy exchanges not only with Chris Wallace but also with other famous personalities including reporter Jim Acosta of CNN whose press pass was revoked by the White House in 2018.

Incoming President of CNN Chris Licht sent a memo to CNN staff, on Thursday. He said that he wanted to clearly mention that the move to shutter CNN+ was not a reflection of the talent or the hardworking people who had “poured their heart and soul into building and flawlessly launching CNN+ in a very short period of time.”

Licht said that it was “not a reflection of the quality of the talent and content of CNN+.” He added that some of the talent would “migrate to CNN’s programming or some of the company’s other networks.”

The dark comedy starring Bill Hader has opened to fantastic reviews from both audiences and critics, in its first two seasons. Season 3 of Barry has got a rating of 100 percent from 13 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92 percent score from 10 reviews on Metacritic.

Season 3 of Barry can be seen exclusively on HBO Max, Episode 1 on Sunday April 24, 10 p.m. ET. It has been nominated for several Emmy awards for both its seasons and its cast has even won three awards:

Season 2 had a brutal ending as Barry went ballistic at the monastery. He killed Chechen, Bolivian and Burmese members of the mafia. Barry’s mentor Fuches who is his hitman mentor, survives the blood bath and escapes, while Hank, the Chechen mob boss, hides. Barry’s acting mentor, Gene Cousineau who is arrested for the murder of his detective girlfriend Janice Moss is released as the police discover Chechen boss Hank’s pin that was planted on the scene by Barry.

Season 1 debuted on HBO on March 25, 2018. It showcased the journey of Barry, a hitman from Cleveland. The midwest low-rent hitman travels to Los Angeles for a hit job but joins an acting class conducted by Gene Cousineau, as he follows his “mark.” He questions his path in life after meeting actress Sally Reed and the rest of the aspiring actors. He relooks at his life’s journey as he feels more drawn towards acting rather than killing.

Madeleine McCann Disappearance: Almost 15 years later, authorities formally name suspect

On Thursday, Portuguese prosecutors finally named an official suspect in the mysterious disappearance of a young British girl, almost 15 years ago. Madeleine McCann disappeared when she was on vacation with her family in Portugal. The family’s vacation villa was in the Algarve region of Portugal. Madeleine was only three years old, when she disappeared on May 3, 2007.

The Public Ministry district of Faro, which is the largest city in the Algarve region in Portugal, said that they had taken action as per a request by German authorities. They said that were also in coordination with English investigators. Although the Portuguese authorities said that they had an official suspect in the disappearance case, the name of the suspect was not released.

The prosecutors’ statement said that the investigators in a nearby town called Portimao were leading the investigation. They were getting help from the Judiciary Police for the probe.

Although the suspect is not named by the Portuguese, in mid 2020, German authorities had said that a German citizen Christian Brueckner was a suspect in the case, according to a report in AP. The 45-year old suspect is currently in a German prison as he was convicted for drug offenses.

The outlet reported that he was also facing a pending 7-year sentence for raping an American in Portugal. The rape of the 72-year old woman took place in Pria da Luz, the place from where Madeleine McCann disappeared. Christian Brueckner denied his involvement in the disappearance of the three-year old girl.

In June 2020, Hans Christian Wolters, from the Braunschweig Public Prosecutor’s Office told BBC News that they were assuming that “the girl is dead.” He said that the suspect they were talking about “was a sexual predator who has already been convicted of crimes against little girls.” He said that the suspect was “already serving a long sentence.”

Juco pitcher kicked off team for attacking baserunner

The North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC) announced Thursday that a pitcher who tackled an opposing baserunner during a home run sequence this week was suspended for four games.

Weatherford College pitcher Owen Woodward is no longer on the team, coach Jeff Lightfoot said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Woodward is facing additional discipline from his school, which may include expulsion, according to multiple media reports.

Woodward attacked Josh Phillips of North Central Texas College as he rounded third based after hitting a home run. Phillips received a two-game suspension for taunting.

The tackle incited a scuffle between the teams. The game was suspended and eventually forfeited by both teams.

North Central Texas received the brunt of the discipline. The NTJCAC handed out two-game suspensions to “all team members for NCTC that were in the dugout or bullpen” and any assistant coaches who stepped onto the field.

“We are shocked and disappointed at what happened in our game today,” Weatherford coach Jeff Lightfoot said after the game. “We do not condone this type of behavior. We have worked hard to build a program with the highest of standards. We are completely embarrassed by this incident, and we apologize to North Central Texas College and the fans of WC baseball. This type of behavior cannot be tolerated.”
