NTMR moved to the top of the standings at 3-0 with a victory Sunday in the Overwatch Champions Series North America Stage 2.
The tournament, played online, features eight teams. The regular-season round robin will conclude on June 15, with six qualifying teams heading to the double-elimination regional playoffs.
The top three teams will advance to the Midseason Championship and North America Stage 3. The prize money has yet to be determined.
NTMR got off to a fast start to beat Supernova 3-1. NTMR won the opening map, Busan, 2-0, and Watchpoint: Gibralter 2-1.
Supernova stayed alive with a 3-2 victory on Midtown before NTMR closed out with a win on Runasapi, 144.86m-1.24m. NTMR’s Julian “Rokit” Pizana of the United States was voted most valuable player.
Spacestation Gaming swept DhillDucks 3-0, winning on Ilios 2-0, King’s Row 1-0 and Suravasa 3-1. The MVP was Canadian-American Alex “seeker” Taylor of Spacestation Gaming.
Geekay Esports blanked Sakura Esports 3-0, winning on Ilios 2-0, Circuit Royal 5-4 and King’s Row 1-0. Geekay’s Denis “Lethal” Tari of Turkey was the MVP.
