OVERWATCH News: Fuel remain unbeaten in OWL East summer qualifiers

The Dallas Fuel remained unbeaten in Summer Stage qualifiers with a sweep against the Dreamers on Sunday in the Overwatch League’s East Region.

The Fuel and Seoul Infernal are both 4-0 with a plus-11 map differential heading into their showdown on Friday.

Dallas defeated Dreamers 2-1 on Busan, 3-1 on Numbani and 2-1 on Circuit Royal.

The Hangzhou Spark defeated PANTHERA 3-1 and O2 Blast broke into the win column with a 3-2 victory against the Seoul Dynasty.

East Region qualifying will run through Aug. 6. All matches also will be best-of-five in a single round-robin format, with all 10 teams moving on to the Summer Stage Knockouts. Matches between the three teams based in South Korea (Dallas Fuel, Seoul Dynasty, Seoul Infernal) will all be offline.

The Spark opened with a 2-0 win on Antarctic Peninsula and PANTHERA answered with a 3-2 win on Eichenwalde before falling 4-3 on Watchpoint: Gibraltar and 1-0 on Esperanca.

The Dynasty started off with a 2-1 win on Ilios, but O2 Blast moved ahead with a 1-0 decision on Midtown and a 3-2 win on Route 66. Seoul got even with a 1-0 victory on Colosseo but O2 Blast finished with a 2-1 victory on Antarctic Peninsula.

Qualifying action in the East resumes Friday with three matches:
–Seoul Infernal vs. Dallas Fuel
–Dreamers vs. Seoul Dynasty
–Hangzhou Spark vs. Poker Face
