The Seoul Dynasty held off the Philadelphia Fusion to remain unbeaten at Overwatch League Summer Showdown East Region qualifying on Saturday.
The Dynasty (5-0) had swept all 12 maps before running into a tough battle with the Fusion (1-4).
Philadelphia kicked it off with a 2-0 win on Oasis, but Seoul fought back with a 4-3 win on Hollywood. The Fusion took the lead again with a 3-2 decision on Circuit Royal before the Dynasty answered with a 1-0 win on Colosseo and a decisive 2-1 victory on Busan-UAT.
The Los Angeles Valiant (1-5) rallied for their first win with a 3-2 decision against the Chengdu Hunters (2-4) and the Guangzhou Charge (4-2) remained in third place with a 3-1 defeat of the Hangzhou Spark (1-4).
The Hunters opened with a 2-1 win on Lijiang Tower. After a 2-1 loss on Paraiso, Chengdu went back in front with a 5-4 win on Watchpoint: Gibraltar. The Valiant rallied with 1-0 and 2-1 wins on Colosseo and Oasis, respectively.
The Charge won 2-1 on Oasis. After the Spark’s 1-0 win on Midtown, Guangzhou posted back-to-back 1-0 wins on Watchpoint: Gibraltar and New Queen Street.
Qualifying concludes Sunday, with the top four teams from the East and the top eight from the West advancing to the $330,000 Summer Showdown starting on Thursday.
The Dragons, Dynasty and Charge already have clinched in the East.
