OVERWATCH News: Dynasty jolt Charge in OWL East Summer qualifiers

Seoul Dynasty continued their surge through the East Region Overwatch League Summer Stage qualifiers with a 3-1 victory over Guangzhou Charge on Friday.

Seoul Infernal recorded a 3-1 win over Shanghai Dragons on Friday, while PANTHERA notched a 3-2 triumph over Poker Face.

The Dynasty won 2-0 on Antarctic Peninsula and 2-1 on Eichenwalde before the Charge countered with a 1-0 decision on Circuit Royal. The Dynasty bounced back with a 1-0 victory on Esperanca to end the match and move into third place in the standings.

The second-place Infernal secured a 2-0 win on Ilios and a 2-1 triumph on Numbani before the Dragons responded with a 2-1 decision on Watchpoint: Gibraltar. Undaunted, the Infernal answered with a 1-0 win on New Queen Street to end the match.

PANTHERA had a tougher time of it against Poker Face, who recorded a 2-1 win on Busan and a 1-0 victory on Midtown. PANTHERA responded with a 2-1 triumph on Dorado, a 1-0 win on Colosseo and a 2-0 victory on Ilios.

East Region qualifying ends Sunday. All matches are best-of-five in a single round-robin format, with all 10 teams moving on to the Summer Stage Knockouts. All matches between the three teams based in South Korea (Fuel, Dynasty, Infernal) will be offline.

Summer Stage qualifying action in the East continues Saturday with four matches:
–Seoul Infernal vs. Seoul Dynasty
–Hangzhou Spark vs. Dallas Fuel
–O2 Blast vs. Poker Face
–Guangzhou Charge vs. Dreamers
