Hurdlers Masai Russell and Grant Holloway, gold medalists at the Paris Olympics, became U.S. indoor national titlists on Saturday at the 2025 USATF Indoor Championships in Staten Island, N.Y.

Holloway has a winning streak for over a decade in the men’s 60-meter hurdles, and he matched his fastest time in the world this year at 7.36 seconds. Cameron Murray was next in a personal-best 7.41.

Russell captured her first U.S. indoor crown in the 60 hurdles with a personal-best 7.74, also the world’s best time this year. Grace Stark was second in 7.76.

The top two finishers in most events qualify for the World Indoor Championships on March 21-23 in Nanjing, China. Holloway has said he will try to become the first hurdler to win three straight world indoor titles.

Russell plans instead to focus on the outdoor track and field season in the spring.

Katie Moon, a gold medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, won her fifth U.S. indoor pole vault crown by clearing 4.80 meters (15 feet, 9 inches). Gabriela Leon took second at 4.65 meters (15-3).

Chris Nilsen cleared 5.70 meters (18-8 1/4) in the men’s pole vault, with Jacob Wooten second at the same height.

Nikki Hiltz captured the women’s 3,000 run in 8:48.28, just ahead of second-place Shelby Houlihan (8:48.43). Hiltz, who doesn’t plan to compete at the world indoors meet, will try to win her fifth straight U.S. 1,500 (indoors and outdoors) on Sunday.

Hobbs Kessler captured the men’s 3,000 in a meet record 7:38.00, followed by Dylan Jacobs (7:38.02).

Monae Nichols (22-1) and Claire Bryant (22-0 3/4) were 1-2 in the women’s long jump, while Chase Jackson (64-5 3/4) and Maggie Ewen (61-10 1/2) were best in the shot put.

Emmanuel Corvera won the men’s 3,000 race walk (11:57.89), followed by Jordan Crawford (12.00.92). Lauren Harris is the women’s champion (a personal-best 13:23.83), with Maria Michta-Coffey second (13:33.28).

James Carter won the men’s triple jump at 16.88 meters (55-4 3/4), with Russell Robinson second (16.67; 54-8 1/4). Daniel Haugh is the weight throw champion at 25.11 meters (82-4 3/4), with Tanner Berg second at 24.96 (81-10 3/4).
