Late Saturday evening, the New York Police Department arrested a man for a violent domestic attack at a New York City subway. The suspect allegedly pushed the victim onto the tracks in a Manhattan station. The suspect and victim were involved in a domestic dispute when the man pushed the woman. She is stable, but her feet were severed.
On Saturday morning, NYC commuters at the Fulton Street subway station platform witnessed this horrific incident. The police incident report said that a female had been pushed onto the tracks by a male after they were engaged in a dispute at about 10.30 a.m. at the station.
The police incident report also stated that Christian Valdez was captured at about 9.30 p.m. ET on Saturday in lower Manhattan. The suspect, who has listed his address as a homeless shelter for women in Brooklyn, was arrested 11 hours after the shocking incident.
The police have not released the victim’s name. They said that the 29-year-old victim was hit by a southbound No. 3 train. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital. She has been listed as stable, but both her feet had to be amputated, according to police sources.

The police charged Christian Valdez with attempted murder and felony assault. He was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court the next day. He has faced criminal charges in the past and was convicted of second-degree attempted assault in 2020. He was given an eight-year prison term and was out on parole. Records show that he had been released on January 9, 2023, from the Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining, New York.
Police also confirmed that he was the convicted felon who broke into an apartment in the Bronx borough of New York City, stabbed a woman, and attempted to throw her 3-year-old daughter from a fire escape in 2017. A good Samaritan, who wished to remain unnamed, followed by a few others, had intervened and saved the mother and her child.
