New York Police are looking for an unidentified offender who is suspected of kidnapping a woman in Brooklyn, New York, according to NYPD Crime Stoppers. The “kidnapping” event occurred at the intersection of Avenue West and Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn at around 1:45 a.m. on Saturday, and the suspect is a man driving a recent Toyota minivan. One source referred to the disappearance of an unnamed woman off a Brooklyn street and transportation to a minivan as a true “mystery.”
According to police, the man approached the woman as she crossed the street. She was in her 20s, wearing a striped shirt, a blue skirt, and white trainers. Then, before leaving for Stillwell Avenue, he grabbed her up and carried her to his van. The suspect can be seen waving his arms to the woman on the street in a set of incident images that the police have released. A second image appeared to show the perpetrator carrying the alleged victim to his car while holding her in his arms.

A senior police source stated that neither the woman’s identity nor the woman’s relationship with the suspect could be determined. According to the source, the woman did not appear to be struggling. Police are searching local footage as part of their investigation to determine where the guy and lady came from prior to the incident, the person reportedly stated.

The kidnapper is thought to be a male in his 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and about 175 pounds. He is shown in photos taken during the incident sporting a black long-sleeve shirt, dark trousers, and black shoes. She was placed inside a recent Toyota minivan before it sped off north on Stillwell Avenue, according to police.

The kidnapping is reportedly at the same place where Rasard Deas was shot to death inside the New Food First Cook Chinese restaurant in May 2022. Recent events of crime include a man punching a woman in the face on a train in the region at midnight after she requested him to stop groping her. A similar violent assault on a woman when Jean-Francois Coste assaulted a female MTA employee under intoxication at the Stillwell Avenue station in December 2022.
