The Washington Spirit re-signed Dorian Bailey to a three-year contract Thursday, replacing the midfielder’s one-year deal that came when the club picked up her 2023 option.
Bailey, 26, played 17 games for the Spirit across all competitions last season and has played in 72 games for the club over four seasons.
“I’m really excited for these next few years with the Spirit,” Bailey said in a news release. “Everyone has been working tirelessly to make the Spirit the best we can be. I’m very grateful and can’t wait to bring another championship home.”
The No. 8 overall draft pick in 2019 out of North Carolina, Bailey played 27 games across all competitions in 2021 while helping the Spirit to an NWSL championship.
