The Washington Spirit signed forward Ashley Hatch to a new three-year contract with an option for 2027.

The deal takes effect immediately, replacing her contract that was set to expire after the 2024 NWSL season.

“‘Hatchy’ has been a key component of the Spirit attacking third for the past six years and still has the prime of her career ahead of her,” general manager Mark Krikorian said in a news release Tuesday. “We’re thrilled to have her commit to the club for at least the next three seasons.”

Hatch started all 22 matches in 2023 and contributed nine goals and two assists.

She has recorded 46 goals and six assists in 128 matches with the North Carolina Courage (2017) and the Spirit.

Internationally, Hatch has collected five goals and an assist in 21 caps with the U.S. Women’s National Team.

“Super excited and grateful to re-sign with the Spirit through 2027,” Hatch said. “I truly feel this is the best place for me to continue to grow and develop as a player and person.

“The D.C. community is home, and I am so glad to be a part of it for another four years!”
