The Seattle Reign re-signed veteran midfielder Nikki Stanton for the 2024 season, the NWSL club announced on Thursday.
The 33-year-old free agent has been in the league since 2014 and spent the past two campaigns with the Reign.
“Nikki has been such a stalwart in the league,” general manager Lesle Gallimore said. “She provides a level of experience that we value, a defensive presence that positively impacts games and an uplifting attitude that is infectious.”
Stanton recorded two assists in 15 matches in 2023.
Stanton was traded to the Reign from the Chicago Red Stars ahead of the 2022 season. She previously played for Sky Blue FC (now NJ/NY Gotham FC).
