San Diego Wave winger Maria Sanchez is on the move to Liga MX Femenil’s Tigres, ESPN reported Saturday.

The 29-year-old American-born Mexican international will sign a four-year contract, per the report.

Sanchez is expected to play her final NWSL match with San Diego on Sunday against the Washington Spirit.

She signed a three-year deal with the Wave in 2024 that included an option for 2027. The amount of the transfer fee being paid by the Nuevo Leon-based Tigres was not part of the report.

Sanchez has recorded three goals and two assists in 11 NWSL matches (six starts) this season.

She previously played for Tigres (2021) and Guadalajara (2020) in Mexico in addition to NWSL stints with the Chicago Red Stars (2019) and Houston Dash (2021-24).
