Racing Louisville forward Kirsten Wright was placed on the 45-day injury list following a successful procedure to her injured right knee, the team announced Friday.
Wright, 25, underwent the procedure Wednesday to clean damage from a meniscus tear.
“Now that my surgery is behind me, I am looking forward to starting my rehab and working toward getting back on the field,” Wright said in a statement from the team. “We have such a special and talented group this year, and I can’t wait to be out there soon.”
Picked 13th overall by Louisville in the 2021 NWSL Draft, Wright has six regular-season goals and eight total across all NWSL competitions. Her four scores in 2023 put her second on the team.
Louisville is off until an April 13 home match against the San Diego Wave.
