The Houston Dash announced a four-year extension with goalkeeper Jane Campbell on Thursday.
The deal starts on Jan. 1 and runs through the 2027 NWSL season, with an option for 2028.
The 2023 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year has been with Houston since the league’s 2017 draft.
“When I was drafted here, I envisioned a career where I would only play for this team,” she said. “I was not sure if that was possible since that is so rare in this profession. Eight years later, I have spent my entire career in Houston and I want to thank my teammates, both past and present, for their support and making me the player I am today. I wouldn’t be here without them.”
Campbell, 29, has started 162 games for the Dash in all competitions and has 35 clean sheets in league play.
“Jane is an integral piece of the Dash and has proven she is one of the best players in the league,” general manager Alex Singer said. “Her work ethic, professional approach, and commitment to her own development and that of the club’s as we evolve is world class.”
Campbell currently leads the NWSL with 64 saves and is tied for the league lead with five clean sheets this season.
