Angel City FC signed veteran forward Christen Press to a new one-year contract for 2025 on Friday.

Press, 36, has tallied five goals and one assist in 24 NWSL matches since joining the franchise in 2022.

“L.A., it was always you. This city’s strength and resilience inspire me, and I could not be more proud to represent L.A. — my home city — when I step out onto the pitch this season,” Press said in a news release. “To this community of fans, your love and support has gotten me through a lot — we’ve been through a lot together — and I could not be more excited to journey with you for another season!”

Press enters the season tied for eighth in NWSL history with 51 career goals in 112 matches with the Chicago Red Stars (2014-17), Utah Royals (2018-20) and ACFC.

On the international stage, Press has recorded 64 goals and 43 assists in 155 caps for the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT). She is a two-time World Cup winner (2015, 2019) and an Olympic bronze medalist (2020).
