Nolan Winter had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Wisconsin to a 76-53 win over Detroit Mercy on Sunday in Madison, Wis.

Winter shot 6-of-9 from the field to help the Badgers (10-3) win their second straight game following a three-game losing streak.

Steven Crowl scored 15 points, and John Blackwell had 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals to flank Winter for Wisconsin, which had 10 different players score.

Wisconsin prevailed despite a poor shooting performance from 3-point range, as the Badgers made 7 of 35 attempts from behind the arc.

The Badgers ended up shooting 40.6 percent from the field overall (26 of 64) and 17 of 19 from the free-throw line. Wisconsin held a 50-34 rebounding advantage, blocked six shots and committed just 10 turnovers.

Orlando Lovejoy and Grant Gondrezick II each scored 20 points in defeat for Detroit Mercy (5-9), which has lost four straight.

The Titans shot 33.3 percent from the field (22 of 66) and committed only eight turnovers.

Leading by 13 at halftime, Wisconsin steadily grew its lead to start the second half, taking a 50-30 lead with 16:33 remaining in the game after a basket by Winter.

The Badgers soon went on a 12-0 run to go up 62-34 with 9:49 left.

Reserve Markus Ilver gave Wisconsin its first lead of 30 or more when he made back-to-back 3-pointers for a 68-36 advantage with 7:57 left, and both teams started emptying their respective benches.

Wisconsin started to separate itself at just beyond the halfway point of the first half.

After Detroit Mercy cut its deficit to three points with 9:14 left in the half, Wisconsin went on a 14-0 run to grab a 30-13 lead with 5:21 remaining until halftime.

The Titans had a minor surge, with Lovejoy scoring six in a row to cut Wisconsin’s lead to 11 before the Badgers made it 39-26 by halftime.
