Talia von Oelhoffen collected 19 points and eight assists to help No. 3 seed Oregon State beat No. 6 Nebraska 61-51 in the second round of the Women’s NCAA Tournament in the Albany Region 1 on Sunday afternoon in Corvallis, Ore.

Oregon State (26-7) is advancing to the Sweet 16 for the sixth time in program history, and the first since 2019.

The Beavers were also boosted by 17 points from Timea Gardiner and 10 points from Raegan Beers. Nebraska (23-12) was paced by Jaz Shelley, who had 10 points, six rebounds and seven assists.

Gardiner scored eight points in the opening frame to help the Beavers jump out to a 19-6 lead. Oregon State never trailed from there.

Oregon State had 21 assists on 22 made baskets and sank 10 3-pointers.

The Beavers will head to Albany, N.Y., to play the winner of Monday’s game between No. 2 Notre Dame and No. 7 Ole Miss.
