Dajuan Harris had a career-high 18 points on 5-of-5 shooting from 3-point range as No. 3 Kansas defeated Texas Tech 75-72 Tuesday night in Lubbock, Texas.

The Red Raiders had a chance to take the lead in the final minute, but were unsuccessful.

Kansas (13-1, 2-0 Big 12) had three other players score in double figures, including Jalen Wilson with 16 points. KJ Adams Jr. added 14 and Gradey Dick had 11. Kevin McCullar, who starred for Tech for the past three seasons, was held to seven points. He was booed every time he touched the ball.

Texas Tech (10-4, 0-2) saw its 29-game home winning streak snapped. The Raiders were led by Kevin Obanor with 26 points. Pop Isaacs had 18, and Jaylon Tyson had 10.

Kansas led by seven at the break and stretched the lead to 12 points early in the second half. But Tech responded with a 10-3 run to trim it to 57-52 inside the second media timeout.

Each time Kansas pulled away, Texas Tech responded. Kansas led 70-60 with 3:54 left, but Tech scored 10 of the next 11 points to cut it to a one-point game with 1:43 remaining.

McCullar extended the advantage back to three points, but Obanor cut it to one with a driving layup. When Dick missed a 3-point shot with 32 seconds left, Obanor rebounded, and Tech called a timeout with 25 seconds remaining.

Isaacs stumbled in the lane, and McCullar picked up the loose ball and lobbed it downcourt to Adams, who dunked it with five seconds left. Obanor missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Texas Tech jumped out to an early 13-5 lead in front of a frenzied crowd. The enthusiasm was heightened when McCullar picked up his second foul with 16:47 left in the first half. It didn’t take long for Kansas to respond, and the Jayhawks took the lead at 23-22 at the 10:21 mark.

The teams traded the lead nine times before intermission before Kansas finished the half on an 11-2 run to turn a two-point deficit into a 43-36 halftime lead. Wilson led the Jayhawks with 13 points and Adams posted 10 in the half.

The Red Raiders also had a pair of double-figure scorers, with Isaacs scoring 11 and Obanor adding 10.
