Aden Holloway had 17 points and four assists while Aiden Sherrell posted his second straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds as No. 25 Alabama defeated LSU 90-83 on Saturday in Baton Rouge, La.

Amari Allen added 16 points and six rebounds for the Crimson Tide (20-7, 10-4 Southeastern Conference), who won their sixth straight game. Latrell Wrightsell Jr. went 9-for-10 from the free-throw line and scored 14 points off the bench, while London Jemison contributed 12 points and six rebounds.

Alabama went a perfect 14-for-14 from the free-throw line in the first half and shot 81.1% (30 of 37) from the charity stripe in the game.

Marquel Sutton, who came in averaging 18 points in his last three outings, had 21 points for the second consecutive game to lead the Tigers (14-13, 2-12), who dropped their fifth straight to fall to 1-6 at home in SEC play.

Jalen Reece chipped in with 14 points and five assists, while Rashad King added 12 points off the bench for LSU. Pablo Tamba scored eight of his 10 points in the second half and grabbed a game-high 12 boards.

The teams exchanged the lead six times in the first half before a 15-5 Alabama run put the Tide ahead 41-32. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Reece and King got the Tigers within three at the half.

The Crimson Tide opened the advantage back up to double digits at the start of the second half, extending it to 63-49 on a Wrightsell 3-pointer.

PJ Carter went 3-for-5 from beyond the arc and had 13 points for LSU. His deep trey with 2:38 to play got the Tigers back within six at 81-75.

LSU came in shooting just 28.6% from three-point land while making 5.3 3-pointers per game over the last three contests. However, the Tigers shot 45% (9 of 20) against the Crimson Tide.

Alabama responded to that Carter make by scoring the next four points, never letting LSU get it back to a six-point game until there were 14 seconds left.

Labaron Philon Jr., who scored a career-high 35 points in a double-overtime victory over Arkansas on Wednesday, had eight points against LSU but dished out a team-high five assists.
