Desi-Rae Young compiled 18 points, 10 rebounds and six steals to lead No. 21 UNLV to 66-49 win over San Diego State in the Mountain West tournament championship game on Wednesday in Las Vegas.

The Lady Rebels (30-2) won their 15th consecutive game to seal their third straight Mountain West tourney title. The Aztecs (22-13) had their four-game winning streak end.

San Diego State led by two early in the second half before UNLV went on a 12-0 run that included consecutive baskets by Young.

The Lady Rebels were up by five after three quarters, but they secured the win by scoring the first 11 points of the fourth quarter. That surge included 3-pointers from Amarachi Kimpson, Alyssa Brown and Ashley Scoggin plus a hoop from Young.

Kiara Jackson put up 14 points for UNLV, while Scoggin had 13 points and Brown logged 11 points and nine rebounds.
