Kam Jones scored 14 points and Chase Ross added 11, fueling No. 16 Marquette to a convincing 80-56 victory over visiting Seton Hall on Tuesday night in Milwaukee.

Jones joined Ross with five assists and added four rebounds to fluster the Pirates for the second time this season. Jones scored 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor in the Golden Eagles’ 76-59 win on Jan. 21 in Newark, N.J.

Ben Gold scored all 10 of his points in the second half for Marquette (20-6, 11-4 Big East), which shot a robust 53.6 percent from the floor and 40.7 percent from 3-point range to improve to 13-2 at home this season.

The Golden Eagles enjoyed a 40-24 edge in rebounds en route to recording their second win in a row following a three-game skid.

Isaiah Coleman made just 5 of 19 shots from the floor to finish with a team-high 13 points for the Pirates (7-19, 2-13).

The rest of his Seton Hall teammates didn’t fare much better. The team made just 4 of 16 shots from 3-point range to fall to 1-10 in its last 11 games overall and 0-9 on the road this season.

Wisconsin native Gus Yalden sank a pair of free throws as Seton Hall cut its deficit to four points at 17-13 before Marquette ignited a 22-6 run. Royce Parham, Ross, Jones and Damarius Owens each made a 3-pointer during that stretch before Jones capped the run with a spinning jumper in the lane.

The Golden Eagles kept the pressure on after intermission.

They scored 24 of the first 34 points in the second half to extend their lead to 31 points at 64-33. Gold made a pair of 3-pointers and a layup during that surge before Stevie Mitchell’s tip-in capped the run with 10:16 to play.

Marquette put it on cruise control from there.
