Johni Broome and Chad Baker-Mazara each scored 15 points as No. 1 Auburn ran its winning streak to 14 games with a 98-70 home win over Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Broome also stuffed the stat sheet with six assists, five rebounds, three blocks and three steals.

Denver Jones and Chaney Johnson each rang up 13 points while Tahaad Pettiford chipped in 11 points for Auburn (21-1, 9-0 Southeastern Conference).

Dayton Forsythe led Oklahoma (16-6, 3-6 SEC) with 13 points and Jalon Moore added 11 points. Jeremiah Fears and Kobe Elvis each chipped in 10.

Auburn held a 46-20 advantage on points in the paint and they had six dunks. On defense, Auburn controlled the paint as well with 11 blocked shots led by Dylan Cardwell’s six rejections.

The Tigers’ inside advantage gave them a 27-17 lead when Cardwell slammed home an alley-oop pass from Johnson at the 10:57 mark of the first half.

It wasn’t just in the paint where the Tigers found success. Auburn forced 15 turnovers, which led to 22 points. Auburn had seven turnovers.

Johnson’s steal led to Broome hitting Baker-Mazara with a lob pass for a reverse layup and a 34-24 Auburn lead with 6:45 to play in the first half.

Because the Sooners made 10 of 11 free throws, they kept it close in the half despite shooting just 37 percent from the field and turning it over six times.

The Tigers were on an 8-3 run when Luke Northweather hit a wing 3-pointer to cut the Sooners’ deficit to 36-29 with 5:15 left in the half. His second triple came on a set play after a timeout and cut Auburn’s lead to 38-34.

Chris Moore’s layup gave the Tigers a 44-34 halftime lead.

Auburn forced turnovers on consecutive Oklahoma possessions and went on a 6-0 run to start the second half as Baker-Mazara’s step-back trey capped the rally and gave the Tigers a 50-34 lead.

A 19-5 Auburn scoring outburst was capped with Johnson’s teardrop layup as the Tigers pulled away with a 78-53 lead with 7:31 to play.
