Nishad Singh, former FTX engineering chief, becomes the third SBF partner to cooperate with prosecutors. In a proffer session with prosecutors from the Southern District of New York, Nishad Singh, a former head of engineering at FTX and a member of Bankman-inner Fried’s circle, Bloomberg reported Monday night, citing sources familiar with the situation.
Singh has not been charged in relation to the collapse of FTX, but the publication claims his attendance indicated he is looking for a plea bargain. The former FTX Engineering boss also received millions of dollars in loans from Alameda Research, according to bankruptcy court files.
Sam Bankman-Fried is accused of engaging in an epic magnitude by donating money from FTX customers to political and charity causes which includes $73 million in political donations and promised to pledge $1 billion in the 2024 presidential election. Through the Mind the Gap political action organization, which received $1 million from Singh in April 2021, Bankman-mother Fried’s was additionally one of the biggest recipients.
Gary Wang, a co-founder of FTX, and Caroline Ellison, the former CEO of the hedge fund Alameda Research, are among the other two people to have admitted to fraud.
