Morgan Geekie had a goal and assist Saturday and the visiting Boston Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-3 for their sixth straight win.

Viktor Arvidsson, Michael Eyssimont, David Pastrnak and Fraser Minten also scored for Boston, Mason Lohrei added two assists and Jeremy Swayman made 30 stops.

Nicholas Robertson, Matias Maccelli and John Tavares scored for the Maple Leafs, whose three-game winning streak ended. Morgan Rielly had two assists. Anthony Stolarz allowed four goals on 19 shots before Dennis Hildeby replaced him in the second period and stopped 19 of 20 shots.

A three-goal flurry in 38 seconds of the first period left Boston with a 2-1 lead.

Robertson scored on a power play at 3:12, tipping in Max Domi’s pass. Henri Jokiharju was off for tripping. It was the first time in eight games that Toronto scored first.

Boston replied at 3:30 when Geekie scored from the slot after whiffing on his first shot attempt.

A Toronto turnover and failure to clear from the front of the net resulted in Arvidsson’s goal from the slot at 3:50.

Boston’s Tanner Jeannot hit the post at 12:39 late in Toronto’s second power play.

The penalty had just expired when Maccelli tied the game at 13:03 after Nicolas Roy’s backhanded, between-the-legs pass from the barrier behind the net reached him in front.

A video review determined that Eyssimont had jammed the puck over the line to give Boston the lead at 2:15 of the second period during a power play. Bobby McMann was off for slashing.

Pastrnak slipped the puck between Toronto defenseman Simon Benoit’s legs before knocking in the puck from the edge of the crease at 4:41. Hildeby replaced Stolarz.

Tavares scored on a power play at 16:51 of the second period, shooting high from the high slot. Jeannot was off for slashing.

Toronto’s William Nylander had his shot late in the third period hit a post and the crossbar but stayed out.

Minten scored at 16:58 of the third on a pass from Mark Kastelic after a Toronto turnover.

Boston’s Charlie McAvoy (personal reasons), Casey Mittelstadt (lower-body injury) and John Beecher (upper-body) were out.

Toronto forward Scott Laughton (upper-body) missed the third period.
